Abstract

The teaching and learning process is a system that cannot be separated from the components that are interrelated in it. One component of the teaching and learning process is learning resources. The aims of this study were: (1) To analyze the use of the environment as a source of geography learning in different landform areas in Karanganyar Regency (2) To analyze the level of use of the environment as a source of geography in different landform areas in Karanganyar Regency. This research is a type of qualitative research with data collection techniques, namely interviews with data and the data source is a geography teacher at SMAN 1 Colomadu and SMAN 1 Mojogedang. Then Miles and Huberman's qualitative data analysis techniques, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that (1) the form is in the form of learning around the school, because the landform around SMAN Mojogedang is high land, while SMAN 1 Colomadu is lowland, so it is very easy for the two teachers at the school to use it. (2) the level of utilization of the geography teacher at SMAN 1 Colomadu on the environment as a learning resource for students is by combining some material and then they go into the field once a year to analyze the material while seeing directly an overview of the material they are studying, while at SMAN 1 Mojogedang themselves, they study the material first, then if examples of this material can and can be found around the school environment, the teacher instructs students to go into the school environment and carry out material analysis while looking directly at examples of the material.
