Abstract

The district of Sukoharjo has various nicknames that serve as identities for the region, which its residents take pride in. One of the nicknames of Sukoharjo is "City of Maidens" (trade, education, industry, and business), so it's not surprising that there are numerous offices and industries found in Sukoharjo. The use of offices as work environments can lead to stress and serious health issues due to work pressure and unhealthy lifestyles, such as prolonged work in enclosed air-conditioned spaces. Therefore, humans require an area that can provide protection and maintain their physical and mental health. Employees in the workplace are inevitably faced with challenges like these, which can lead to monotony. When employees spend too much time in one place, the monotony they experience can create tension, ultimately affecting their productivity. One of the efforts that can be undertaken to prevent and reduce the potential growth of mental disturbances while working is by incorporating the concepts of leisure and a biophilic approach into office design. The implementation of leisure spaces with a biophilic design approach can help employees address these issues by giving them something to do and a place to go outside their normal routines. This will provide them with an inner experience that leads to comfort, joy, and entertainment
