Abstract

Karanganyar is a district in Central Java Province with unique and potential tourist attractions that are worth visiting, one of the leading tourist attractions in Karanganyar Regency is the Lalung Karanganyar Reservoir area however, there are problems with this tour, namely the local government pays little attention to the potential of this reservoir , so that this reservoir does not develop. The Lalung Karanganyar Reservoir area has 3 potentials that can be developed, namely tourism, education and the economy. The Lalung Karanganyar Reservoir area has hot temperatures and results in aridity and drought due to a lack of plants. So one way to solve this problem is to apply the Eco Park concept to the Lalung reservoir with the aim of creating a healthy, productive and sustainable green open space, taking into account the balance of the ecosystem and minimizing negative impacts on the environment. This design aims to develop the Lalung reservoir area as an educational tour with an eco park concept, but still manage the potential around the existing reservoir or site and formulate the basic concepts of planning and design which will be the basis for designing the Lalung reservoir. From the results of the analysis and the concept obtained in the form of a design for the development of the Lalung Karanganyar reservoir area as an educational tour with the application of the eco park concept.
