Abstract

Taman Candi is a tourist attraction in the form of green open space. The park is located on Jl. Taman Candi, kartoharjo village, Ngawi sub-district, Ngawi district, East Java. Its strategic location from the city makes this park often visited by local tourists. This park functions as an educational, recreational and sports tourism site for the community. Taman Candi has various potentials that can be developed as a tourist attraction. On the other hand, Taman Candi also has various kinds of problems, including the lack of maintenance of existing infrastructure facilities in the park as evidenced by the condition of facilities, security, and comfort that do not meet the standards. The development of the Taman Candi was carried out to improve, add infrastructure facilities and provide space to introduce the potential that exists in the Ngawi Regency area. The development is based on educational and recreational tourism by utilizing the potential in the environment around the park. Thus, it is necessary to design the development of the Taman Candi by taking into account the potential and conditions of the surrounding environment. The application of ecological architecture is a concept that will be applied in the design, namely paying attention to the surrounding natural conditions and reducing the use of excessive energy to maintain environmental balance. It is expected that this architectural design concept report can develop and provide solutions to the problems that occur in the Taman Candi.
