Abstract
The growing population every year affects the number of economic means. The Dibal Market is one of the economic facilities located on Ngemplak Road, Ngemplak district, and Boyolali district. The high economic potential of this road is strategic, crowded, and close to the meeting of three streams from the direction of Adi Sumarmo International Airport, Donohudan Hajj Embarkation, and the Nogosari area. However, the current market conditions make buyers feel less comfortable, as seen from the unspoken layout of the space to match the food zone, dirty conditions as the garbage from market activities accumulates in some corners of the market, and water sinking in the market as the rain falls. This leads to non-compliance with existing standards and regulations. The purpose of this redesign is to design a Dibal Market that restores its function by restoring its function as a place of business for trading transactions and, in accordance with applicable standards, using qualitative descriptive methods. The adaptive concept approach used in market redesign refers to the points of flexibility, convertibility, versatility, durability, and ease of adjustment that can respond to market conditions, user comfort, and land and environmental constraints surrounding the market. So, it is hoped that the Dibal Market can run optimally and comfortably, withstand conditions and any possible changes that occur, and support the economy of Dibal Village and its surroundings.
