Abstract
Heavy equipment is a tool that is used by humans to do work that is heavy or difficult to do with human power. A tool or machine definitely requires maintenance in order to work effectively. In this discussion the Kobelco SK200-8 excavator on CV. Habbas Indonesia, cannot operate optimally. At that time, the Kobelco SK200-8 excavator found an oil leak in the travel motor and full oil in the travel reducer. After that, the process of dismantling the travel motor was carried out and replacing the travel motor separator seal with a travel reducer and the O-ring case of the travel motor due to the fact that it was too long to operate, where dirty or blackened oil was found and there were grams of planetary gear friction with the inner gear the travel reducer causes a change in the material structure of the seal and o-ring.
