Abstract
This research was conducted to find out the independent character education implemented by SD Muhammadiyah 1 Alternative Magelang City after the pandemic through PAIKEM in the era of global computing. This study uses qualitative methods through interviews and documentation. The research object of this research is the principal, teachers and students of SD Muhammadiyah 1 Alternative Magelang City. The data analysis method used is data reduction, data delivery, and conclusion drawing. Test the validity of the data using data triangulation. The results of the study show that independent character education implemented by SD Muhamadiyah 1 Alternative in Magelang City during the post-pandemic period through PAIKEM was declared successful. There are inhibiting factors that become obstacles, namely the readiness of students in the learning process, especially for high-grade students who have not carried out face-to-face learning for almost 3 years so that students experience less motivation and low independence. The supporting factors that encourage the implementation of independent character education through PAIKEM are due to the enthusiasm of the students and teachers in carrying out the face-to-face learning process so that the obstacles that occur at the beginning of learning can be overcome more and more.
