Abstract
Terminal Charger is a facility that today is needed by the general public. There are still several places that have not been able to reach PLN electricity, one of which is a tourist spot that is far from residential areas, but there are several places that have received PLN electricity supply and still do not have a charger terminal. Currently there are still many battery charging terminals that use PLN electricity, this is less effective if the place needed for recharging the battery is far from the reach of PLN electricity. This greatly affects the activities of people who use electronic devices such as smartphones and laptops which are very important in everyday life as a communication tool or to help with a job. Micro, small and medium businesses such as angkringan certainly require electricity facilities that are widely needed by consumers as recharging smartphone batteries. Using electricity from PLN as a terminal charger will reduce the profit from this business. The author will develop a terminal charger using a renewable energy source, namely solar panels and using a coin acceptor as a payment method for the charger facility for a micro, small and medium enterprise (MSMEs) such as an angkringan, so that it can increase income from the business. This research requires several main components to support the success of the research to be carried out, such as a 20 WP solar panel, as the main energy source, then a 12V 5Ah battery (battery) as temporary energy storage, a 10A pwm solar charger controller as a charging control and output from an energy source. , the coin acceptor controls the amount of output power, Arduino controls the input of the coin acceptor so that it can read the coins that are inserted so that it can release power according to the program made. The results of the test using a 20 Wp solar panel and a battery with a capacity of 5 Ah, the device can turn on without a charger load with a battery capacity of 5 Ah and the current flowing when the device is in standby mode without a charger load is 1.12 A and the battery efficiency is 20%, then when the device is on standby it can last for 3.57 hours.
