Abstract
In modern times like today, energy use is increasingly being used by humans to support their daily needs, one of which is the use of electrical energy supplied by electricity companies. Due to the high consumption of electrical energy and the community is very dependent on electrical energy, if there is a disturbance or blackout it will disrupt productivity activities and community activities, therefore it is necessary to have a backup source of electrical energy. This study designed a simple home-scale generator system. The tool system will convert the motion energy from a 4-stroke engine fueled by 5.5 hp gasoline to drive a permanent magnet generator whose transmission medium uses pulleys and belts to produce ac electrical energy which is then converted to dc using a rectifier, so that electrical energy can be stored in the battery and circuit relatively safer tool. Then electricity is supplied to the buck converter to adjust the current and voltage, after that electricity is sent to the charging controller, the charging controller is used to charge the battery. Then the inverter is jumpered to the battery charging line by the charging controller. Then the inverter is connected to the ac load. In testing and measuring the tool in a limited environment and the actual environment, the tool can generate electrical energy and can supply the load.
