Abstract
Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) is the behavior of someone who performs tasks outside of their main duties without expecting rewards for schools effectiveness. So far there have been many studies that discuss related to OCB. However, there are still gaps in the discussion of OCB, especially those describing OCB in elementary school teachers. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to describe OCB in elementary school teachers in the dimensions of altruism dan civic virtue, sportsmanship and courtesy, an conscientiousness dimensions. This research is a qualitative involving elementary school teachers at SD Muhammadiyah Program Khusus Pracimantoro, Wonogiri using an ethnographic design. The findings of this study are (1) OCB teachers in the altruism dimension have the initiative to care for work colleague, including replacing work colleague, helping work colleague, and guiding new teachers. Meanwhile, OCB teachers in the civic virtue dimension have efforts to care for the organization, including the teacher’s participation in the organization and caring for the survival of the organization. (2) OCB teachers in the sportsmanship dimension, namely tolerance in the workplace, including tolerance of situations, tolerance of work colleague, and tolerance of school principal. Meanwhile, OCB teachers in courtesy dimension is to minimize the occurrence of errors in work, including being careful/attentive, avoiding conflict, and respecting work colleague. (3) OCB teachers in the conscientiousness dimension, namely carrying out compliance behavior towards the organization, including time attendance, time management at work, and obeying rules and regulations.
