Abstract
The police are a man power heavy organization, so that the strength of the police in carrying out their role is highly dependent on the human resources they have. Thus, every organization must continuously improve the quality of its human resource performance to achieve the goals that have been set. This study aims to examine the correlation or relationship between self-confidence, work discipline, and emotional intelligence with performance. The research approach uses a correlational quantitative design, with research subjects as many as 84 members of the police investigating criminal acts. The data collection tool uses a self-confidence scale, a work discipline scale, an emotional intelligence scale and a performance scale. The data obtained were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis techniques, with the help of SPSS software. The results showed that the R value was 0.626, meaning that there was a strong correlation between self-confidence, work discipline, emotional intelligence and performance. Partially, there is a significant correlation between self-confidence and performance where the value of sign = 0.040 <0.05, with an effective contribution of 8.9%, there is a correlation of work discipline with performance sign = 0.019 <0.05 with an effective contribution of 18.2%, and there is a correlation of emotional intelligence with sign performance = 0.000<0.05 with an effective contribution of 35.5%. Thus it can be said that the performance of police officers investigating criminal acts is influenced by self-confidence, work discipline, and emotional intelligence
