Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has spread throughout the world from 2020 to the present and has left individuals without physical or social interactions as they used to, limiting social relationships, and preventing students from studying face-to-face. This can cause anxiety in students who study online. The purpose of this study was to describe student anxiety about online learning. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The participants in this study were 5 UMS students who underwent online learning. The data collection technique used is semi-structured interviews, and the data analysis method used is Thematic Analysis. From the results obtained that the subject experienced anxiety during online learning, which was marked by each subject experiencing a response to his body, both physical responses such as aches, difficulty sleeping, and eyes feeling spicy. emotional responses such as feeling complicated, unhappy and bored as well as behavioral responses such as feeling lazy and tired. Subjects overcome the responses that occur in their bodies by doing sports, doing routines regularly, receiving and doing online learning, refreshing by doing online learning and so on.
