Abstract

The world of education is not far from information systems. Because the use of information systems in the field of education will be applied to each sub-sector in every school. One of the fields of education in the State 1 Juwiring Vocational High School (SMK) is the academic field. In this field there is still a lot of information that has not been conveyed to students. This causes delays in the information provided by the school. The purpose of this research is the development of an academic information system aimed at students and teachers to provide information to each other. In addition, in the development of this information system, an announcement feature has been provided via email for each student, where teachers can create messages to students via email. This research method uses a R&D (Research and Development) method with the SDLC Waterfall development model. Where the SDLC Waterfall model includes: analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, maintenance. The trial in this study was conducted on 25 students of class XI Multimedia and 7 teachers who teach at XI Multimedia. The test results obtained from 25 students and 7 teachers are that the academic information system can function properly.
