Abstract

For almost every company, the industrial era 4.0 is very influential significant in the acceleration of change. This is an absolute phenomenon and cannot be avoided by all parties, this condition becomes a challenge for companies in Indonesia. Therefore, companies need to have a strategy to be able to implement a change to deal with it in order to maintain the performance of employees. One of the urgent strategies to maintain and even improve employee performance in the current condition that is being given full attention is the readiness to change in each company. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between readiness to change and employee performance. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a positive relationship between readiness to change and employee performance. The subjects in this study were employees of Bank X Karanganyar, totaling 50 people, the sampling technique used the Accidental Sampling technique. Collecting data using the employee performance scale and readiness to change scale with a Likert scale of 4 alternative answer choices which were then analyzed correlationally using Pearson's product moment technique with the help of SPSS 26.0. The results showed that there was a very significant positive relationship between the employee performance variable and the readiness to change variable as evidenced by the acquisition of a correlation value of 0.754 with p-values of 0.000 smaller than 0.01. The effective contribution of the readiness to change variable with performance is R² = 0.569. This shows that the proposed hypothesis is proven, so it can be concluded that readiness to change contributes to employee performance.
