Abstract

Currently, population growth in the city of Semarang has increased on average, especially for vulnerable adolescents aged 10-14 years and 15-19. This makes the city of Semarang need a place to accommodate various activities for the youth community, not only from sports and arts activities, but also from creative preneur activities. The role of the community is a public space where individuals or groups with various backgrounds with the intention of certain goals carry out an activity. The need for self-development facilities for teenagers to support the design of the Semarang Youth Creativity and Art Center, not only has the function of the building as a space to develop talent but also can make the container as an entertainment and educational space for teenagers. Through an iconic architectural approach that has the form of exploring youth activities, it is expected to be able to present a building design that has a shape according to the characteristics of adolescents, namely attractive with dynamic, contrasting and interesting forms, so that it can make the building iconic in the city of Semarang.
