Abstract

This study aims to describe strategies, media and assessment of fun mathematics learning in elementary schools. This research uses descriptive qualitative method with case study type. Informants in this study were principals, students and teachers of grade 5 elementary schools at SD N 01 Wonorejo, Gondangrejo District, Karanganyar Regency. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique includes three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study concluded that the fun mathematics learning strategy at SDN 01 Wonorejo was implemented using the Quantum Learning and Project based learning (PJBL) methods with the help of Tik Tok, You Tube media and presenting concrete objects in learning. In the assessment of mathematics learning, teachers use assessment guidelines for the independent era of learning, namely authentic assessment based on assessment for learning, assessment as learning and assessment of learning. The types of assessments carried out by teachers include assessments of the learning process, self-assessment, daily assessments, mid-semester assessments and end-of-semester assessments. In the affective assessment related to spiritual attitudes and social attitudes the teacher uses observation and journal techniques. The assessment of the knowledge aspect is carried out using written tests, oral tests and assignments. Oral tests are only used by teachers to evaluate the results of written tests or assignments. The assessment of the skills aspect is carried out by the teacher using performance techniques. The teacher makes a rating scale accompanied by a rubric.
