Abstract
This study aims to analyze the role of innovation in mediating the effect of dynamic capability on batik centers in the city of Surakarta. This research is included in quantitative research. The population of this research is the owners of SMEs in the city of Surakarta. The samples collected in this study were 90 respondents. The sample selection technique is using purposive sampling where the sample is determined based on certain criteria. The data used is primary data where data is obtained from respondents' answers through a questionnaire that has been given. SmartPLS 3.0 is used in research as an analytical tool. The results of this study indicate that (1) Dynamic Capability has a positive and significant effect on Innovation. (2) Innovation has a positive and significant effect on performance. (3) Dynamic Capability has a positive and significant effect on performance. (4) Innovation variable is able to provide a mediating effect on the Dynamic Capability variable on the Performance variable
