Abstract

Gemolong which is one of the sub-districts in Sragen Regency. It is located in the west of the capital city of Sragen Regency. Gemolong has the potential to become the second satellite city of Sragen Regency. Gemolong Subdistrict which is experiencing intensive development and development as an Urban Area is also one of the factors. The Gemolong Urban Area will consist of six sub-districts namely Tanon, Miri, Sumberlawang, Kalijambe, Plupuh and Gemolong. The development of Gemolong District is evident from the many creative actors of arts, culture, crafts and tourism. Meanwhile, the current condition in Gemolong is that there is still no space for an arts and culture center, therefore space is needed to accommodate arts and culture as well as facilities for creative activities in Gemolong.Seeing this, a Gemolong Creative Center was designed. Gemolong Creative Center aims to accommodate creativity in Gemolong. Gemolong Creative Center activities that are accommodated are arts and crafts. Gemolong Creative Center carries the concept of local wisdom. Local wisdom in Gemolong includes batik machete sukowati, gedek, and traditional Javanese buildings.
