Abstract

Al Verdad Cadhika Agustino, A610150084. Development of Video Media on the Impact of Former Sand Mining in the Merapi Volcano Area, Klaten District, Central Java. Thesis, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta. June 2022. As a result of mining group C minerals, it can lead to erosion of soil humus, which is the top layer of the soil surface which can contain organic matter called nutrients and is dark in color due to the accumulation of organic matter, this layer is called tillage which is the main area for plants. Mining has a huge impact on the environment. But many mining actors do not understand about the impacts that occur after mining. They just leave the former mine just like that. The need for socialization to the community but with limited time and cost the teacher should be able to provide understanding to students with the presence of natural resource materials, the teacher must include an understanding of the reclamation in ex-mining areas. ex-mining impact material was developed for the second semester of geography class XI with the basic competence to analyze the dynamics of the lithosphere and its impact on life. The design phase of this documentary video learning media begins with determining learning materials, determining learning objectives, and creating scenarios. Products that have been validated by material experts and media experts. The video learning media on ex-mining impact class XI developed has met the eligibility criteria based on the material expert getting a score of 4 in the "good" category, while the media expert gets a score of 4 in the "good" category
