Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the self-control that exists in TNI-AD soldiers who have been assigned to conflict areas. Participants in this study used a purposive sampling technique. This study uses a short questionnaire about self - control as a screening research informants with criteria for active soldiers and have been assigned to conflict areas. From the 21 soldiers who filled out the questionnaire, the researcher took six soldiers to serve as informants. The research question is "How to Self Control TNI-AD Soldiers Who Have Been Assigned in Conflict Areas?” The method used is a qualitative phenomenological method, the validity of the data obtained using the member check in testing the accuracy of the results and interpretation. The results of the study concluded that TNI soldiers who had received assignments in conflict areas who were the subject of this study had good self-control so that the task went well and smoothly. The three aspects of self-control are reflected in soldiers who get assignments in conflict areas, namely aspects of behavior control, cognitive control, and decisional control.
