Abstract

In March 2020, it was confirmed that two Indonesian citizens were confirmed positive for COVID-19. The Indonesian government immediately made a policy to break the chain of the spread of COVID-19. The KEMENDIKBUD issued a circular letter No. 4 of 2020 regarding learning at home (Learning from home). With this policy, all learning activities must be carried out online. One platform that is often used to support online learning for high school students is Google Classroom. The implementation of education is currently carried out online, but the cultivation of character values in the implementation of learning in the classroom must still be carried out so that students have good character values. The purpose of this study is to analyze the character values of independence, discipline, responsibility, and honesty that appear in students VII grade students of SMPN 1 Trangkil Pati in science learning using theapplication google classroom during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was conducted from February to July 2021 at SMPN 1 Trangkil Pati. The population in tihi study were all class VII students of SMPN 1 Trangkil 2020/2021 and the samples in this study were students of class VIIA, VIIB, VII C, and VIID. The method is a survey by distributing questionnaires to respondents.The results showed that the seventh grade students of SMPN 1 Trangkil had character values of discipline, responsibility, independence, and honesty with percentages of 78%, 75%, 73%, and 74%, respectively.
