Abstract

Self-adjustment is a phenomenon that must be had by regional students in their new environment. The purpose of this study is to find out whether or not differences in self�adjustment are reviewed from gender. The subject of the study was an active student who wandered and was studying at the University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta. The number of respondents in this study amounted to 50 people. The technique of sampling is done using purposive sampling, with male and female gender characteristics that have the status of overseas students, who are studying at Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. This study used statistic independent sample T-test technique through the help of SPSS program version 16.0, with data collection tool that is self-adjustment scale. Analysis of this research data using comparative analysis or differences. The results of the data analysis showed a value of t = -1.027 with p > 0.05 meaning no difference in self-adjustment of overseas students reviewed from gender. So that the researcher's hypothesis is not proven or rejected
