Abstract

Background of this research is conventional methods using in the learning process without any variation by most of teachers. The development of professional adobe flash-based media is thought can give positive effect on teaching and learning activities and can improve the value of character education in daily life. The purpose of this research is to describe the application of professional adobe flash-based learning media and its effects on Islamic education and character learning. Research type was mix method which combined qualitative and quantitative. This research used qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis with interviews, observation, action, documentation and questionnaire as data collection methods. The implementation was carried out with the Kurt Lewin model which consisted of planning, acting, observing and reflecting in two cycles. The population in this study were students of class 10 at SMK N 1 Jogonalan with a total of 135 students. The results showed that the implementation of professional adobe flash based learning media at SMK N 1 Jogonalan Klaten occured kind and fluently. The classroom atmosphere was well-conditioned and more condusive. Students were more willing to ask and answer questions given by teacher regarding the material being taught. The level of understanding and character scores of students in the treatment class was higher than the control class.
