Abstract

This research is based on the fact that there are some students in Al-Huda Junior High School Wonogiri as one of the favorite schools in Wonogiri, which do not reflect good Islamic character values. For example of the cases such as feeling alienated in the class, and less conducive learning atmosphere. There are even some students who feel affected by bullying that done by peers and classmates. Although not all students behave that way,but some students still do it. Therefore, a mentoring program that contains habituation is needed to strengthen the values of character to students at the 2^nd grade. This research are explain how to implement a mentoring program, how to internalize character values through a mentoring program, and what are the indicators of the successful mentoring program that held in Al-Huda Junior High School Wonogiri. The aims of this research are to describe how the mentoring program is implemented and how it is internalized to character values and to identify the indicators of successful mentoring in Al-Huda Junior High School Wonogiri. These problems are discussed through field studies that conducted in Al-Huda Junior High School Wonogiri, using qualitative research, with a phenomenological approach. Data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. While the data analysis techniques used are data reduction (data sorting), data presentation and data verification (drawing conclusions). Validity test of the data by using triangulation (checking data). This research found that implementation of mentoring program can be started by reciting the Qur'an, daily mutaba'ah, short speeches or tausiyah by mentoring participants, material from mentors, and then giving updated information from schools, and individual counseling guidance that internalized trough Islamic character values include religious values, reading a lot, honesty, dicipline, responsibility, creativity, independence, communicativeness, tolerance, hard work, curiosity, social care, friendly, respect for achievement, democratic, love of the motherland, love for peace, and environmental care. This program can be said to be effective even though the development of these values are carried out in stages. Keywords: Internalization, Islamic Character Values, Mentoring Program
