Abstract

Song as a universal and effective media, ideas, messages and expressions of the creator can be poured into the listener through lyrics, musical compositions, selection of musical instruments, and the way he presents them. Ideas in songs can be in the form of expressions of love, protest against something, anger, anxiety, and so on all of which are combined with beautiful words, poetry and not always straightforward. It is undeniable, song lyrics are the dominant factor in delivering messages as part of the song framework which is finally enjoyed by the listeners. The purpose of this study is to describe "Language Style and Character Value Load in Children's Song Lyrics". The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method and the technique used in data collection is purposive sampling technique. The main sources of qualitative research are words and phrases. The rest is additional data. The types of data used are primary data and secondary data. Primary data in the form of words, phrases, clauses, and sentences that contain language style. Based on the findings of this study, it can be concluded that in children's songs there are actually many values that can be used as a medium for fostering the character education of children and students. The purpose of this study is to describe "Language Style in Children's Songs". The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method and the technique used in data collection is purposive sampling technique. The main sources of qualitative research are words and phrases. The rest is additional data. The types of data used are primary data and secondary data. Primary data in the form of words, phrases, clauses, and sentences that contain language style. After identification, 5 language styles found in this study, The metaphor of the song Bintang Kejora, Ibu Kita Kartini, Pelangi – Pelangi, Si Kancil Nakal, Soleram, Alliteration of songs Bunga Hiasan, Asonansi pada lagu Kucingku, Burung Kakatua, Assonance of songs Kucingku, Burung Kakatua, Repetition of song Gelang Sipaku Gelang. Naik Becak, Naik Gunung, Nina Bobo, Selamat Ulang Tahun, Keranjang Sampah and anaphor of song Kesayangan. Based on the findings of this study, it can be concluded that in children's songs there are actually many values that can be used as a medium for fostering the character education of children and students. Among the values found in this research are the values of honesty, intelligence, independence, curiosity, courtesy, caring, creative, discipline, hard work, courage, tolerance, and compassion.
