Abstract
Classroom Action Research aims to improve student learning activeness in the pythagorean theorem subject through the PjBL learning model. The research subjects were class VIII A SMP Negeri 2 Delanggu which amounted to 32 students. Data collection methods used are observation, interviews, field notes and documentation. To ensure data validity, triangulation techniques are used. The data analysis technique used consists of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed an increase in the activity of students in learning the Pythagorean theorem through the application of the PjBL learning model. This can be seen from 1) visual activities obtained by baseline of 65%, cycle 1 of 78.125%, and cycle 2 of 100%. 2) oral activities are obtained by baselines by 50%, cycle 1 is 67,708%, and cycle 2 is 80%. 3) listening activities obtained baseline of 65%, cycle 1 was 79.6875%, and cycle 2 was 81.667%. 4) motoric activities obtained a baseline of 40%, cycle 1 was 50%, and cycle 2 was 73.33%. 5) mental activities obtained a baseline of 40%, cycle 1 was 59.375%, and cycle 2 was 66.67%. 6) emotional activities obtained by a baseline of 40%, cycle 1 was 65.625%, and cycle 2 was 66.67%. From the results of these studies support the hypothesis "if the learning of the Pythagorean theorem through the application of PjBL is done correctly and correctly, it can increase student learning activeness in learning the Pythagorean theorem"
