Abstract

IMPLEMENTATION OF PROJECT ASSESSMENT ON THE LEARNING MATHEMATICS BASED ON PROBLEM BASED LEARNING POINTS OF BUILDING ROOMS TO IMPROVE STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES IN GRADE VIII EVEN SEMESTER SMP MUHAMMADIYAH AL KAUTSAR IN 2016/2017. Essay. Fakulty Teaching and Education, University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta. September, 2017. The objective of this research is to know the improvement of student learning outcomes through the implementation of project appraisal on learning-based mathematics problem-based learning room welfare issues in students of class VIII even semester SMP Muhammadiyah Al Kautsar 2016/2017. Based on the approach of this research is Classroom Action. The subject of this research is grade VIII ARF SMP Muhammadiyah Al Kautsar which is amounts to 35 students. The collecting of data is using observation, interview, test and documentation. The validity data is done by triangulation technique is comparing data result from observation, interview, test, and documentation. The technique of data analysis is used interactive analysis through collecting data, reduction of data, presentation of data and conclusion. The result of this research shows that, the teachers prepared RPP, the pre-test, LKK, and post-test is used to know the ability of students. While the implementation of project assessment based on problem based learning, by applying steps to provide problems, identify problems, gather information, prepare reports, and evaluate. The implementation project assessment can increase liveliness in discussion, bravery to give argument, and also help the students in determining attitude and skill to be better. The problem is faced in research is researcher less creativity in making assignment, making instruments is not ready yet, and the time is not adequate.
