Abstract

Belakangan ini banyak pendidik yang kurang menaruh perhatian pada strategi pembelajaran kooperatif dalam meyampaikan pembelajaran. Beberapa orang beranggapan ceramah merupakan cara pembelajaran yang membosankan. Banyak juga yang kurang mengerti strategi pembelajaran kooperatif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektifitas strategi kooperatif Think Pair Share (TPS) dibandingkan strategi ceramah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode dokumentasi, pre-test dan post-test dalam mengumpulkan data. Rata-rata selisih hasil pre-test dan post-test baik kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dibandingkan, untuk mengetahui peningkatan yang terjadi. Kelas eksperimen ialah kelompok kelas penerapan strategi TPS. Sedang kelas kontrol adalah kelompok kelas penerapan strategi ceramah. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan sebesar 23.01 poin untuk tujuan pembelajaran kognitif (dalam penelitian ini aspek pengetahuan) pada kelas eksperimen. Sedangkan pada kelas penerapan strategi ceramah atau kelompok kelas kontrol terjadi peningkatan pencapaian tujuan pemebelajaran sebesar 17,34 poin. Kondisi berbeda muncul pada tujuan pembelajaran afektif (dalam hal ini adalah ketrampilan). Rata-rata hasil pembelajaran aspek ketrampilan mencapai 75 poin untuk kelas kontrol yang tidak menerapkan TPS dan 71,24 poin untuk kelas eksperimen, kelas yang menerapkan TPS. Kata kunci: Efektifitas, Ceramah dan Think Pair and Share. ABSTRACT Nowdays many lecturer that implement learning by teacher-centered or we just call it talkative. Somepeople opinion was said that talkative is so boring way to learn. Thus many of lecturer awareless with cooperative learning strategic. The objective of this research is to compare effectivity between cooperative learning strategic, in this case are Think Pair and Share (TPS) toward talkative. TPS was implemented to experiment class and talkative for control class. The object is effectivity, so this research was used observation, pre-test and post-test methode to collecting data. Gap result between pre-test and post-test average, from experiment and control class showing what trend looks like, is that increase or decrease toward learning purpose. It was found that experiment class with TPS learning strategis has improved their average cognitive learning purpose 23.01 point. Control class without TPS learning it just improved their average cognitive learning purpose around 17.34 point. Different condition showup in affective learning purpose. The average affective learning result for control class were 71.24 point and 75 point for experiment class that implement TPS cooperative strategic.
