Abstract

Speaking in English relates to what is seen, felt, heard, and expressed in the form of words. This research was conducted using YouTube as a learning medium to evaluate speech learning. This study aims to evaluate the use of YouTube as a learning medium in learning at SMK N 1 Pedan. The method used in this study is a qualitative method, where researchers do not need statistical data to collect, analyze, and interpret data. Data collection was carried out through: comparing data from observations of speaking learning meetings and interviews to 10 students of class XII OTKP 1. The results of this study show that even YouTube has a relationship with speaking learning because students are more interested in the visuals provided by YouTube and provide their own appeal to be used as a learning medium. The drawback of YouTube itself is the use of quota and excessive signals in its operation even the number of ads that cut learning videos, it is advisable to use YouTube premium in this case. YouTube makes students' learning more varied and less monotonous. Researchers concluded that YouTube provides a good facile through its visuals but also still has a lack of operation.
