Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the difference between kompas.com and republika.co.id media in constructing the first Emergency PPKM news on July 3-20, 2021 with Framing Analysis According to Robert Entman. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative research analysis. The research method used is framing analysis. The sampling method is purposive sampling, with the consideration of researchers to be able to answer research problems. Researchers use triangulation techniques to show empirical evidence that improves understanding of the reality or symptoms studied. The results showed that the difference in the construction of news between the two online media according to the framing analysis of the Entman model was not related to the basis of the formation of the two online media. Kompas.com construct news by highlighting the role of the government, while the republika.co.id highlights the role of the community towards the sustainability of the rules..
