Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the emotional condition of parents on the independence of early childhood (5-6 years) in Kelurahan Giripurwo and to determine how effective and relative the contribution of parents' emotional conditions to the independence of early childhood (5-6 years) in Kelurahan Giripurwo. This research is a quantitative research with a non-experimental research design, namely descriptive design. The subjects in this study were all parents of children aged 5-6 years in Kelurahan Giripurwo, totaling 63 parents. The data collection technique in this study was a questionnaire or questionnaire. The analysis technique used in this research is using simple linear regression analysis. The results of data analysis show that the probability value (sig.) is 0.000 <0.05, so H0 is rejected. So it can be concluded that there is a real (significant) effect between the emotional conditions of parents on the independence of early childhood (5-6 years) in Kelurahan Giripurwo. Furthermore, more the effective and relative contribution of parents’emotions to the independence of early childhood (5-6 years) in Kelurahan Giripurwo, which is 0.478, it means that the influence of the independent variable (independent) namely the emotional condition of parents on the condition variable (dependent) is 47.8%. While 52,2% (100%-47.8%) is influenced by other variables besides the variable of parents’ emotional conditions which cannot be measured by the researcher
