Abstract

This study aims to 1) explain the characteristics of the transformational leadership model in the leadership of IAIN Surakarta for the 2015-2019 period, 2) explain the leadership policies of IAIN Surakarta for the 2015-2019 period which are responsive to the opportunities and challenges of the industrial revolution 4.0, and 3) describes the transformational leadership model of IAIN Surakarta for the 2015-2019 period in facing the opportunities and challenges of the industrial revolution 4.0. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The data collection technique is done by in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Furthermore, the research data analysis was carried out descriptively-qualitatively through logical narratives. The data validity was carried out using triangulation.
