Abstract
Internet users in Indonesia are increasing from year to year and dominated by users aged 13-18 years, this is slowly making our privacy easily known and misused. The purpose of this research is to know the relationship between the role of a person's social support and the interaction of his peers to the intensity of social media access. The population in this study was the students of class X and XI of SMAN 1 Mojolaban with 112 students. The method used in this study is quantitative with a measuring instrument in the form of a scale of intensity of social media access, a scale of social support from parents, and a scale of peer interaction. Data analysis technique used is multiple regression. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known: there is a positive relationship between the role of parents' social support and the intensity of social media access as seen from the correlation value (r) = 0.373 with Sig (1-Tailed) 0,000 <0.05, there is a positive relationship between friend interactions peers to the intensity of social media access seen from the correlation value (r) = 0.211 with Sig (1-Tailed) 0.013 <0.05, and there is a relationship between the role of parents' social support and peer interaction on the intensity of social media access seen from the Anova value Regression, with the value (F) = 9,176 with Sig 0,000 <0.05. Effective contribution of the relationship between the role of parental social support and peer interaction on the intensity of social media access, based on the coefficient R2 (R Square) = 14.4%, with details of the role of parental social support of 12.7% then peer interaction of 1 , 7% and there are 85.6% which are influenced by other variables, such as looking for information, playing online games and make buying and selling transactions online.
