Abstract

The aim of the research is to describe: 1) the types of juvenile delinquency at SD Muhammadiyah 15 Surakarta, 2) the factorsnthat cause of juvenile delinquency at SD Muhammadiyah 15 Surakarta, 3) Teacher’s eforts to handle juvenile delinquency at SD Muhammadiyah 15 Surakarta, 4) The obstructions of teacher in handling juvenile delinquency at SD Muhammadiyah 15 Surakarta. The type of research is qualitative research using case study. The informant of the research is the principal, the teachers of grade 1-6 and the students. The technique of collecting data is interview, observation, and documentation. The data that has been gained is tasted using source triangulation and technical triangulation. The data is analyzed using five steps such as planning, data compilation, basic data compilation and reduction, covering the compilation, and presenting the data, action of perfecting. The result of the research shows that: 1) the types of juvenile delinquency such as: hiding friend’s stuff, fight, noisy, playing, less in pay attention in learning process, absence without information, obey the role, asking fried’s wallet, smoking, coming late, telling a lie, disturbing friend, calling friend’s name using parent’s name, uploading bad photo in facebook. 2) Factors causing the juvenile delinquency that is of endogenous factors and exogenous factors, 3) The effort of the teacher in handling juvenile delinquency is by using prevention, suach as: giving advice to all students in learning process, using correcting way like controlling students behaviour, check the condition of the student, making communication with parents, individual approach and caring sucs as giving advice to the students who make delinquency. 4) The obstacle of the teacher in handling juvenile delinquency is the lack of parent’s support and attention to the student’s behaviour.
