Abstract

Agrotourism is a tourism activity that utilizes the potential in the agricultural sector as the main attraction, including the beauty and uniqueness of the agricultural area as well as various activities, products, and technologies related to the agricultural process. This study aims to design a strawberry agrotourism concept in Tawangmangu that integrates a biophilic architecture approach as an attraction. The main problems to be identified include how to design a strawberry agrotourism that can function as a means of education, production and recreation while increasing the income of farmers and local communities, and how to implement an agrotourism design that integrates biophilic architecture. The research objectives include the creation of a comfortable, environmentally friendly agrotourism that is in accordance with the local culture of Tawangmangu. This research method uses a descriptive analytical and conceptual approach through literature studies and field studies. The zoning concept planning used in the design of this agrotourism has six spatial scopes, namely: parking space, service and service space, education space, management space, recreation space and production space. The building layout is designed with a cluster pattern, where each group of buildings is arranged based on the similarity of function and type of activity carried out. The biophilic concept is applied to the building's facade by adding several vertical gardens. Besides being aesthetically pleasing, vertical gardens also function as air and sound filters, and can lower indoor temperatures. The interior design of the building also maximizes the use of natural materials, such as wood and bamboo. The exterior of the building is designed to be as attractive as possible to attract the attention of passersby or visitors, thus encouraging increased tourism to the agro-tourism area.
