Abstract

Rembang Regency is a coastal area in Central Java with significant marine fishery potential, with Tasik Agung Village serving as a primary hub for fish landing activities. The Fish Auction Center (TPI) and the fish market in this area play a vital role in supporting the distribution and marketing of the fishermen's catch. However, current facility conditions remain poorly organized, with inadequate sanitation systems that fail to optimally support coastal economic activities. Furthermore, the potential for developing the area into an integrated coastal economic center incorporating trade activities and marine culinary tourism has not been fully utilized. To address these challenges, this study proposes a comprehensive transformation through the redesign of the Tasik Agung Fish Auction Center and Fish Market. This research focuses on physical and functional regional transformation using an ecological architectural approach to create facilities that are more hygienic, well organized, and adaptive to the coastal environment. The proposed transformation strategies include reconfiguring activity zoning for efficient logistics flow, integrating public spaces for trade and culinary experiences, and implementing autonomous waste management systems. This design is expected to enhance the quality of the area, bolster seafood trade activities, and strengthen the maritime economy of the coastal community in Rembang Regency.
