Abstract
The design of an Islamic Center in West Lombok Regency is motivated by the increasing religious activities of the community and the need for and integrated facility that accommodates worship, educational, social, and economic functions. The tropical climate, which is hot and humid, also requires a design that respond to environmental conditions to achieve thermal comfort and energy efficiency. The method includes literature study and site analysis, covering climate conditions, sun orientation, wind direction, noise, as well as view and circulation potential. The Bioclimatic architectural approach is applied through building orientation, natural ventilation and lighting, appropriate material selection, and landscape integration. The result is and Islamic Center concept with clear zoning arrangements consisting of public, semi-private, private, and service areas. The design integrates Islamic Center architectural values, modern approaches, and local wisdom as the identity of the area. The application of bioclimatic principles is expected to improve user comfort, reduce energy consumption, and support a sustainable built environment.
