Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between resilience, self-efficacy, and burnout among community correctional officers in correctional supervision agencies Balai Pemasyarakatan. The hypothesis proposed is that there is a relationship between resilience, self-efficacy, and burnout among these officers. The participants consisted of 56 community correctional officers from agencies in Central Java. This study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. Data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires measuring burnout, resilience, and self-efficacy. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression via the Jamovi application. The results indicate that resilience has a significant relationship with burnout (t = -3.36; β = -0.530; p = 0.001), while self-efficacy also has a significant relationship with burnout (t = -2.20; β = -0.347; p = 0.032). Simultaneously, resilience and self-efficacy are significantly related to burnout (F = 71.6; p < 0.00), with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.73. Resilience contributed 44.5% to burnout, while self-efficacy contributed 28.5%. The study demonstrates that resilience and self-efficacy have significant negative relationships with burnout among community correctional officers; higher levels of resilience and self-efficacy are associated with lower levels of burnout. Therefore, efforts to enhance resilience and self-efficacy among these officers are necessary to help them cope with job demands and pressures and to reduce the risk of burnout
