Abstract
This study aims to examine the relationship between social support, emotional intelligence, and burnout among community correctional officers in correctional supervision agencies across Central Java. The hypothesis proposed is that there is a negative relationship between social support and emotional intelligence with burnout among these officers. The participants consisted of 53 active community correctional officers. This study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. Data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires comprising scales for social support, emotional intelligence, and burnout. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression via SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences). Simultaneous testing (F-test) yielded an F-value of 1.745 with a significance of 0.185 (p > 0.05), indicating that social support and emotional intelligence, when combined, do not have a significant effect on burnout. In the partial test (t-test), social support showed a significance of 0.422 (p > 0.05) and emotional intelligence 0.083 (p > 0.05), meaning neither variable was significantly related to burnout. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.065 indicates that the two variables explain only 6.5% of the variation in burnout, while the remaining 93.5% is influenced by factors outside the scope of this study.
