Abstract

Community-driven waste banks, such as Bank Sampah Berkah 04 Wanajaya, have become one approach to improving how waste is managed. Residents there can exchange inorganic waste for cash, yet relying on handwritten notebooks for record-keeping continues to slow down day-to-day operations. This study sets out to build a web-based information system that streamlines waste bank operations, developed through the waterfall approach moving sequentially from needs analysis to design, implementation, testing, and finally maintenance. During the early analysis phase, the required data and information were gathered through direct interviews and on-site observation at Bank Sampah Berkah 04 Wanajaya. The system was developed on the Laravel framework with a MySQL database, and its functionality was verified using black-box testing prior to deployment. This research is expected to provide effective solutions to support waste bank operations and increase community involvement in waste management.
