Abstract

The design of the DPMPTSP Office and Public Service Mall of Semarang City arises from the need to improve the quality of public services amid rapid urbanization and digitalization. The current building location is considered inefficient in terms of both architecture and regional development. Therefore, a redesign of the DPMPTSP Office and Public Service Mall of Semarang City is needed, through development at a new, more strategic location that can optimally accommodate service needs. By implementing a User-Centered Design approach, the design aims to produce a building that can enhance the effectiveness of service activities through good and responsive spatial management. This design is carried out through the stages of data collection, data analysis, and synthesis as an effort to determine the design basis. The building is designed to accommodate inclusive activity needs so that it can be accessed and used by all users, including the public, staff, and official guests. As a result, the design outcome through the application of the User-Centered Design approach is expected to produce a government and public service building with optimal zoning arrangement and spatial relationships within one integrated.
