Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between social support and stress management with psychological well-being among parents of children with special needs in Sragen Regency. The proposed hypothesis is that there is a relationship between social support and stress management, both simultaneously and partially, with parents' psychological well-being. This study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The participants consisted of 120 parents of children with special needs selected using purposive sampling. The instruments used were the Psychological Well-Being Scale, Social Support Scale, and Stress Management Scale, all of which had demonstrated satisfactory validity and reliability. Data were collected offline and analyzed using multiple linear regression with Jamovi software. The results indicated that social support and stress management simultaneously had a significant relationship with psychological well-being (F = 53.71; p < 0.001), contributing 48% of the variance. Partially, stress management had a significant positive relationship with psychological well-being (t = 3.76; p < 0.001), while social support also had a significant positive relationship with psychological well-being (t = 3.40; p < 0.001). Stress management contributed slightly more than social support in explaining parents' psychological well-being. These findings indicate that higher levels of stress management and social support are associated with higher levels of psychological well-being among parents of children with special needs.
