Abstract

UD. Batako Bapak Trimo is an MSME that produces concrete blocks and paving blocks. The production process still involves manual activities, such as lifting, moving, and handling raw materials and molded products, which potentially cause non-ergonomic working postures and increase the risk of musculoskeletal disorders. This study aims to analyze working posture risks and design an ergonomic work aid. Worker complaints were identified using the Nordic Body Map (NBM) questionnaire, working posture risk was analyzed using Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA), and the design of the work aid was carried out using Quality Function Deployment (QFD). The research results showed that NBM scores ranged from 71 to 75, falling into the high-risk category. The REBA assessment scores ranged from 3 to 10, with most activities falling into medium to high-risk categories. Based on the REBA results and worker needs obtained through QFD, a multifunctional trolley equipped with a scissor lift mechanism was designed as a work aid. The evaluation results demonstrated that using the work aid reduced the risk level of working postures in most activities to the low category, while the activity of placing molded products was reduced to the medium category. Solidworks simulation results yielded a factor of safety value of 2.1, confirming that the tool design is safe for operation.
