Abstract

The transformation of information technology development in education is increasingly widespread, particularly in the management of academic data in schools. Currently, academic information management at SDN 1 Semanggi Blora is still done manually using physical print media, resulting in relatively low efficiency. This study aims to design and develop a web-based school information system using the Laravel framework. The system is developed by implementing the Model View Controller (MVC) concept, which separates the user interface from data management, thereby improving efficiency and ease of operation. The development process follows the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Waterfall model, consisting of requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance stages. The results indicate that the web-based school information system was successfully developed and is capable of supporting academic data management, including class schedule management and report card preparation, in a more effective and efficient manner. Black Box testing results show that all system functions and features operate according to the specified requirements. Furthermore, the System Usability Scale (SUS) evaluation produced a score of 87.75, which falls into the Acceptable category, Grade B, and Excellent rating, indicating that the system has a high level of usability and is well accepted by users. Therefore, the developed school information system can serve as an effective solution for improving academic data management and facilitating access to information for students, teachers, and school related parties.
