Abstract

The room reservation process in the Solo Baru area is generally still carried out manually, resulting in unstructured reservation data recording, difficulties in monitoring room availability in real-time, and potential booking schedule conflicts. In addition, prospective tenants often ask similar questions regarding room information, requiring additional time for managers to provide responses. These problems indicate the need for a system that can manage reservation processes in a structured manner and provide automated information services. Kost Daisy and Kost Camellia were selected as the research objects. The system was developed using a client–server architecture with react as the frontend, a typeScriptbased backend, and MySQL as the database. The system is equipped with an Artificial Intelligence-based chatbot feature that utilizes natural language processing (NLP), the term frequency–inverse document frequency (TF-IDF) method, and cosine similarity to understand user queries and determine their similarity with the available knowledge base. The findings indicate that the chatbot can recognize user query intentions and deliver boarding house information that matches the context of the submitted questions. Based on testing using a confusion matrix on 50 question data, the chatbot achieved an accuracy of 90%, precision of 100%, recall of 90%, and an F1-score of 94.74%, indicating good performance in classifying user queries. Thedeveloped reservation system is also capable of managing room and tenant data in a structured manner and supporting digital reservation.
