Abstract
There is a growing concern that students' academic performance may suffer as a result of the increased expectations placed on them to serve as both learners and organisational activists. Keeping motivated, balancing academic and extracurricular activities, and managing time effectively are common struggles for students. The purpose of this research is to apply the Student Engagement Theory to the question of how student activists' time management, motivation, and organisational participation affect their academic progress at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. In order to explain things, this study use quantitative methods. The data was analysed using PLS-SEM with SmartPLS after 150 respondents filled out a Likert-scale questionnaire. The findings demonstrate that academic performance is positively and significantly impacted by effective time management, intrinsic motivation, and organisational engagement. Students are able to enhance their learning consistency, prioritise work, and build soft skills with the support of these factors. In conclusion, intelligence and the capacity for self-control are factors that affect academic success.
