Abstract

A mini incubator is a device used to create environmental conditions that support the egg hatching process. Temperature stability is an important factor in the incubation process, so an automatic temperature control system is needed. This study aims to design a temperature monitoring and control system for an Internet of Things (IoT)-based mini incubator using ESP32 and the Blynk IoT platform. The system uses an SHT31 sensor to measure temperature, a 12V 120W PTC heater as a heater, a 12V DC fan as a cooler, and a 16x2 I2C LCD as a local display. Temperature control uses the Bang-Bang Control method with hysteresis to reduce the frequency of actuator on-off. Temperature data is sent to Blynk IoT so it can be monitored in real-time via mobile devices. Testing was carried out for 60 minutes with a set point of 37.5°C. The test results showed that the system was able to maintain the temperature in the range of 37.1°C to 37.9°C and display the temperature and actuator status in real-time. The developed system can function as designed for monitoring and controlling the temperature of a mini incubator
