Abstract

This study aims to empirically examine the effect of profitability, liquidity, firm size, and sales growth on firm value in food and beverage sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the peiod 2020-2022. The population of this study consists of all food and beverage sub-sector companies listed on the IDX. The sample was selected using purposive sampling method, resulting in 22 companies with a total 66 observations. Secondary data in the form of annual financial reports obtained from www.idx.co.id. Firm value is measured using Price to Book Value (PBV), Profitability using Return on Assets (ROA), Liquidity using Current Ratio (CR), Firm size using the natural logarithm of total assets, and sales growth is calculated from the difference in sales between periods. Data analysis employed multiple linear regression with classical assumption testing. The results show that: (1) profitability has a significant negative effect on firm value; (2) liquidity has no effect on firm value; (3) firm size has significant negative effect on firm value; (4) sales growth has no effect on firm value.
