Abstract
This research aims to determine the characteristics of recipients and the allocation of use of the Family Hope Program in 5 areas of Mojosongo Village, Jebres District, Surakarta City. This research involved 125 respondents who had received assistance. The analytical tool used in this research is statistic descriptive analysis which includes presenting profile data on the characteristics of PKH recipients in the form of data tables. Data was obtained using a questionnaire which included several questions related to demographics such as people's income, education, employment, age, home ownership status, and number of dependents in the family. The results of the research show that the characteristics of the Family Hope Program (PKH) in 5 areas of Mojosongo Subdistrict, Jebres District, Surakarta City have general characteristics such as an average age of 30 - 50 years, the average last education being a high school graduate, having other livelihoods originating from the informal sector with the characteristics of non-permanent work with an income of around 1,000,000 - 1,500,000 per month. Apart from that, another characteristic of aid recipients, seen from the average status of the house, is that it belongs to a family and has 2 dependents. Meanwhile, the average aid allocation is used to buy basic necessities to meet basic household needs. The conclusion of this study indicates that the Family Hope Program (PKH) has partially met its objectives, but various obstacles remain in the implementation process, particularly in terms of targeting accuracy. This inaccuracy is evident in the number of recipients who do not meet the criteria, as well as the suboptimal use of aid allocation.
