Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between the work environment and work motivation on employee performance. The subjects in this study were employees of X Solo Baru Hospital who were active at the time of the study. This study applied a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The population of all employees of X Solo Baru Hospital amounted to 730 people and were spread across various fields of work. The sample of this study amounted to 200 employees with the inclusion criteria being employees of X Solo Baru Hospital who were still actively working. The results of the research and data analysis that have been carried out, the variables of work environment and work motivation are proven to have a positive influence on employee performance. The regression coefficient value is 0.166 which indicates a unidirectional relationship between the independent and dependent variables. Work environment and work motivation have a significant effect on employee performance. with a calculated t value greater than the t table and a significance value smaller than 0.05, so the research hypothesis can be accepted. Simultaneously (F test), work environment and work motivation together have a significant effect on employee performance. The high calculated F value and a very small significance level indicate that the regression model used is feasible and able to explain the relationship between variables well. Thus, employee performance is not only influenced by technical factors, but also significantly influenced by their psychological state and level of work motivation.
